Bogus Basin’s Mission is to provide affordable, accessible, and fun year-round mountain recreation and education to the Treasure Valley. While we believed we were serving that mission to our fullest capacity, we would like to take a moment to acknowledge we have not done enough to ensure that mission is pursued to the fullest extent in all communities. We understand that the work needed to bring equity into our organization and industry does not have a threshold of satisfaction, and this work will require indefinite attention. There are many barriers in the industry of mountain recreation that prevent users from enjoying nature’s beauty. We continue to examine the process of what it truly means to be accessible to the Treasure Valley, and how our organization can represent that value in terms of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

We would like to make it clear that there is no room for racism, hatred, and/or bigotry of any kind at Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area. With full support and encouragement from our Board of Directors, we will continue working internally with our leadership teams and employees, addressing necessary training/education on diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. Diving deeper into creating and fostering a supportive community that is anti-racist, combats hate, and opposes bigotry, will be a goal moving forward. Bogus Basin is committed to bringing diversity, equity, and inclusion to our beloved community.
